About

Breathe in Yoga & Karen

I have been practicing yoga for over 16 years. My aspiration is to bring yoga to as many people as possible, irrespective of their knowledge or ability.  My teaching reaches out on many levels, from physical fun through exploration for kids, gentle and intuitive during chair yoga for elders, and spiritual practice for both beginners and accomplished practitioners.

My winding path on the yogic journey began with weekly classes, exploring ways in which to find a sense of calm, a sense of patience. As the years passed I explored a little more, and a little deeper.  I completed my first yoga teacher training course in 2010 with Andrew Moon at the Atha Yoga School, Cornwall (accredited by IYN).

In 2012 I felt it was time to continue my study of yoga at a deeper level and begin my 500hr training at Mandala Yoga Ashram in Wales.  During the course I became a resident at the ashram and embraced all the challenges and the many insightful moments that arose.  Each day bringing the opportunity to meet with people from all walks of life, and engaging in ways to take my practice from the mat to every moment of every day. I was also blessed to teach at the ashram, which continued after I left; as a tutor for the Yoga Teacher Training Course, 2015 - 2017.

I now teach various classes and workshops in and around Lampeter; including hatha yoga and meditation classes, chair yoga for elders and also children and teenagers at various Pupil Referral Units and Outreach centres.
